Story
HM Pentridge Prison was closed on 1 May 1997, however it is reopening in October to house some particularly troublesome inmates.
That’s right! On Saturday 12 October 2013, the original vagabonds Andrea and Katherine-Anne (KA), along with outlaw's Stephen, Kathy and Ursula will be locked up in Pentridge Prison’s infamous D Division overnight in order to raise money for the Melbourne City Mission’s Mates for Inmates program and Youthlaw. We consider both of these to be great causes and worthy of support. If you would like more information, feel free to hit any of us up for a chat.
This charity event will see both of us along with up to 260 other members of the legal community spend a night in cells that previously housed some of Melbourne’s most infamous criminals while awaiting trial. Here’s hoping the rumours that Pentridge is haunted are not true! Lock down commences at midnight, but we’re hoping that if we bribe the guards we may be allowed to sneak in some contraband while eating our dinner on prison trays.
We have set a target to raise $1500 for this great cause and will need all of the help we can get. Through this page you can support our efforts by making a secure donation. We would also really appreciate it if you could share our page above or comment below so more people know about it.
Click 'Donate Now' to make a secure online donation.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a DGR receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.
Thanks so much for your support and for helping us support such a great cause.
